This new finding shows that no authorized monoclonal antibody therapy could adequately cover all sublineages of the Omicron variant, except for the recently authorized LY-CoV1404 (bebtelovimab).
That’s not the best news for the immunocompromised.

Per the article, apparently the Chinese government officially only counts cases that are symptomatic, and there’s every indication that this is a vast, vast undercount.
I continue to wonder how long they’re going to try to stick to the “Zero Covid” strategy.

Mayor of Rio de Janeiro decrees that masks are no longer mandatory in closed venues. He also stated that the so-called “health passport” will only be used until the end of the month. According to Mr. Daniel Soranz, municipal health secretary, the drop in serious cases of covid allowed such measures to be adopted. He also said that “People who have symptoms of respiratory disease should also wear a mask to avoid transmission. Another measure that the secretariat will maintain is the testing capacity”.
