COUP: Under cover of #muslimban, Bannon throws top general and spy off the National Security Council and installs himself in their stead

Shouldn’t be, but probably is okay with it. Smarter people can get it right, though:

Do you only come to Boing Boing to argue right wing talking points? I just perused your comment history and it sure seems that way.

Hmmm - it seems like you are intentionally conflating the NFC with the principals committee. Gee, I wonder who else did that?

Nixon stepped down.

FDR died of a cerebral hemorrhage in office.

That’s … that’s made me reassess my opinion of Bush a little.

Thank you.

I have come to the conclusion that for some supporters there is literally NOTHING Trump could do to lose their support. Nothing. Really – I mean it. What’s the WORST thing someone can do? I would say rape and murder a child. Yup - they’d see through that. They’d say he was set up. That the child looked older. That the media is making Trump look out to be a monster. That the child was already sexual active. That it was an accident caused by kinky (for lack of a better word here) sexual activities gone wrong between one consenting adult and what that adult thought was another consenting adult.

I mean it. This is what would happen.

We are so screwed as a nation.

I agree. I wonder what the ratio is within the conservative sphere between those people and those that are averting their eyes for the team and those that are just as terrified as we liberals? I honestly don’t know, not even anecdotally and the conservatives are so team oriented I don’t trust they would give honest answers to pollsters. Just pondering.

The team Trumps the country

If you’re bored and you want to experience some awful human beings, slide on over to Free Republic and see how quickly you can get banned by posting something even mildly critical of Trump or the GOP. Lately they’re even throwing Fox News into the ‘fake news’ camp. Simply mind blowing to witness the cognitive dissonance.

I guess his approval ratings will give an indication? I’m not sure I can trust another poll/survey ever again though.

Sounds like a resignation to me!

(Yes, having survived the US school system of the 1970s and 80s, I am aware that El Jefe died in office.)

Frog is alright, but I’ve only ever had it fried.

You know that there was a case involving sexual exploitation of a minor and Trump, right?

Yes … I know. I honestly do not know if it had any merit. The civil suit was dropped – so who knows. Media barely covered any of it.

Dead girl or live boy, those are the tried and true ways for a politician to fall.

Pass. There are vipers in the viper’s nest. I don’t doubt that. I just wonder how many conservatives see that politics aside, something isn’t right with him and he poses a danger. Not that they would admit it to anyone. No way to answer this. Just pondering.

That seems a little…suspicious. That whole section does not give specifics where it would be normal to do so (actual dates or title) but makes a point of playing up his bona fides to justify him being on the Security Council now.

As a vet with friends who were more than damaged by Bush’s wars of stupidity/cupidity, I don’t know that I’ll ever forgive him–ever. However, I will acknowledge my own surprise at the strength of Bush’s stance in this context. My own positive-ish spin on that is to believe Bush knows and concedes to his inner knowledge of gross inadequacy and failure at his [I’ll spare us both a listing here] policies/actions–he was painting fucken dogs after he left the presidency. Painting dogs and badly at that. That was his public persona post-prez (pathetic!).

Were I a betting man, I’d lay down a marker on Obama doing great stuff in the coming years (HFS IT’S SNOWING WUT WUUT)…I mean, JFC what if he joins a law firm (in IL, I suppose) and then argues in front of SCOTUS against this illegal Ban, my Lordy it would be a madhouse in DC.

Long term, I think (SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! SNOW! jeezus I do love this stuff)…you know what, that’ll have to do for now. Snow.
