COVID-19 isolation activities

Who could imagine that there is a hero inside each of us?

I wonder if people who think along those lines, because of video-game, books, or other fantastic scenarios, are not better prepared to cope with the isolation and the new measures that one has to take.

Re-reading Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London series, including the graphic novels and the spin-off.
Really good stuff.

I am not sure. Maybe they get frustrated when they realize that if you die in real world, you cannot respawn.

Brewed the beer today and it’s now sitting in the fermenter. It will be ready in about two months!

The mask & hand sanitizer bit was inspired…
Also, a very restrained reaction to the banana attack.

I figured out what my problem is with gardening. I swear I am a dumbass. I have been throwing my used coffee grounds on my gardens for years. It acidifies the soil so nothing that I want to grow will grow except weeds. The good news is that now I know what I’ve been doing wrong and I can fix it. SHEEEEEESH! Any gardeners out there who can

  1. chastise me vociferously for being such a stupidhead
  2. offer any other major do’s and don’ts about gardening?

Make sure you pay attention to your gardening zone so you dont transplant too early.

Be sure to harden off transplants fully before transplanting

Those are the two that always get me.

I have used a lime based fertilizer on my yard and gardens to cut the acidification from the pine and fir trees surrounding my gardens and yard. it does not work over night, but it helps raise the pH over time.

super-sweet or some such.

Wait, so is what you were doing wrong using coffee grounds? Or is it that you were using them wrong?

(Curious because I’ve often heard they’re good for gardens.)
