Leicester has form.

It was disproportionately represented in the UK Grebo scene in the late '80s - early '90s.

This makes me so sad, because I’ll never get to see him perform again. Happy for Mr. Brown, though. Retirement is richly deserved.

I saw him once when I was in high school, which was the most amazing concert of my life up till that point. Then I saw him again when he was touring with Ani DiFranco and Gillian Welch. Fantastic.

I highly recommend The Live One if you’re feeling like some folk music.

ETA: I should have finished the article before posting, I guess he might still be playing the occasional benefit concert. So I’m just happy for him and not sad. Also from the article:
