The contest for America’s Most Unlikeable Fascist has gotten a lot tighter since JD Vance got on the GOP ticket. DeSantis has always been a strong contender, but he has to up his game too.

I hope WFLA doesn’t back down and forces the thin-skinned meatball to either punk out or try to take this meritless case to court.

Hopefully this backfires and gets more publicity for the ad. As well as makes DeSantis famous as a tyrant. As far as truth in broadcasting goes, more people have been killed by bad forced birth laws than pets have been killed by hungry Haitians, but I don’t see him trying to shush the other Florida fascist.

Republicans: “Asking a social media company not to algorithmically boost demonstrable lies is unconstitutional censorship! It’s nothing less than the end of democracy in this country!”
Also Republicans: “Your factual statement is dangerous to public health because we say so, and cannot be uttered in public or there will be legal consequences.”

Yet this is the same state that fought to get rid of all Covid restrictions as soon as possible.

i know that WPLG (ABC affiliate in Miami-Dade) is continuing to run that advert. i don’t see the likes of that station kow-towing to governor go-go boots.

and the same “witch doctor” state surgeon general is telling us again, not to get the vaccine boosters. :man_facepalming:t2:

hey, @Serge , looks like ol’ Milty has your part of the state in the crosshairs! yikes! take all the precautions, comrade. this looks bad.

Let’s not forget DeSatan using taxpayer funds to ACTIVELY fight Amendment 4.

From Politico in September 2024:

A Florida health care regulatory agency has launched a website to attack a ballot initiative asking voters to expand abortion access in November, as Republicans in the state try to rally opposition against it.

Here’s the actual website, ironically called “Florida Cares”: FloridaHealthFinder | Florida Cares

that’s exactly right and I’m glad you brought that up. it is part of his hypocritical double standard in the matter. it’s ok when his people force a side, because they are in power at this time. yet a view, advert or lived example, is somehow not allowable because… fascist reasons… but the truth is far too dangerous!
the little man in the lifted boots flexing in all the dictatorial ways is the stuff of high farce - yet far too dangerous to ignore, or allow to continue.

i hope you are in a safe place from milton, Sylvia! take care.

I’d rather walk into my house and onto my carpet after stepping in fresh dogshit than invite a steaming pile of DeSantis into my home.

Florida is far from the only State being run by fascists & wannabe warlords, but DeSantis kinda keeps raising (or lowering, depending on your p.o.v.) the fuckery bar for the others to follow or surpass.

And for a look at a budding Christofascist Oligarchy, just head on over to Texas, y’all… except, I wouldn’t suggest that anyone move to, or even visit Texas until the current regime running the place is removed.

Hmm… I didn’t think anyone held a candle next to this guy:

Even his co-workers wouldn’t mourn his demise.
And I can’t wait to help flush the smarmy bastard down the sewer-pipe of history in a few weeks.

Y’all stay safe in Florida. Looks like a bad one.
