He’ll double-down. He’s petty and will want revenge.
Roommate was a die-hard Star wars fan right up until Rise of Skywalker came out; the ending of that was done in such a way that it turned her completely off of anything SW related for a couple years. She’s watching Ahsoka now, and she seems to enjoy that a bit.
As for me? I stopped prior to Skywalker, never bothered watching the streaming only series; I didn’t have (and still don’t have) the money or desire to give The Mouse more of my limited money.
As for the marvel universe…
I have the first big arc, mostly on Blu-ray. I still haven’t gotten around to watching Endgame, and even during that arc, I could visibly see the rushed nature of the productions in the movies. I’ve not watched any of the side series, because I don’t have any streaming services- I never saw the value in it, especially now that the streaming companies are pulling their collective shenanigans with pulling content after a short run in order to not pay residuals regardless of how popular a series was, pulling completed productions before they are even shown as a tax write off, their generally poor treatment of the writers and on-screen talent (to say nothing of the crew behind the camera) which lead up to the strikes.
Hell, the only reason I have a netflix account (off a pre-paid card) was to watch Nimona, which is on my queue for “if it doesn’t get a physical media release in the next 60 days, fire up the torrent client and acquire a copy of it” processing.
Given the generally hostile nature of Disney’s corporate policies and behavior, I’ve taken the position of “it’s morally correct to pirate Disney properties, and donate the money that would have been spent on supporting the creators of the properties directly.”
