Right, but I’m guessing he’s fund-raising off this stunt while also almost certainly wasn’t even the one who paid for the pizzas nor came up with the idea. Getting attention by taking credit for things he didn’t do is par for the course, even when the act was cheap and meaningless.
Goes back to 9-11 and his bullshit claim that he was at Ground Zero helping first responders when, obviously, it was just a craven bid to portray himself as being compassionate, unselfish, and a “team player” – qualities generally applicable to first responders. Considering the magnitude of 9-11 and the extreme conditions endured by rescue workers, Trump’s farce, at least to me, qualifies as an example of stolen valor.
He couldn’t even get the department’s name right; he called them “NYFD” instead of “FDNY.” Pretty big gaffe for a guy who lived in that city for almost all his life and pretends to have been at their side on 9/11.
Hasn’t this pizza delivery happened before? I remember that a fan of Mr. Trump mocked Mr. Biden, making a comparison between his physical strength and Mr. Trump’s ability to carry 6 boxes of pizza. I think i posted it here some years ago.
ETA
It wasn’t some years ago. It was in January, in Iowa.
And let’s not forget that his first public comment on 9/11 was that now the WTC was down, he owned the highest building in NYC.
Maybe a conspiracy theory is waiting to be created. A theory about the real culprit of this attack.
Only bad and derranged minds would believe and spread it. Sad.
