I feel like I have surpassed some kind of like-limit. I’ve liked pretty much every post.
What can I say?
I just really, really, really LIKE this fuckin’ thread.
Why is this guy still on his side?
People are reminding him…
Because he very much agrees with Trump’s positions on most things, including turning the US into a Christian nation. That’s why he became Trumps VP in the first place. That didn’t change.
And you gotta wonder if Pence is afraid 45 took some dirt on him down to Mar-a-Lago.
I’ve lost track (if I knew in the first place) why the GOP is paying the legal bills of Trump. He’s not the POTUS, he’s not running for POTUS, he’s not their employee, and he’s a johnny-come-lately to the Party, relatively speaking (if, indeed, he’s a dues-paying member at all). I assume it’s for pacifying, coddling, and/or mollifying him, but I also assume that’s not the reason the GOP would give.
My guess was that it might be for one of the kids, in-laws, or other (at least part-time) resident of Mar-a-Lago (which is ostensibly an inn, no?). But last I looked (I’m not all caught up) this was indeed a hunt for missing archives.
Reminds me of a local politician who flushed a check (i.e. bribe) down the toilet, and five-figures of cash (i.e. more bribes) in her underwear or bra (the sources varied as to which). I pictured a suspect answering the door when the cops knock, “Yes? Can I help you?” acting like everything’s natural, there just happens to be cash-shaped-and-sized protuberances beneath their clothes.
Maybe there’s more to Pence than meets the eye, but I’m imaging it’s something like this:
Oh, I got this! The FBI watches all of Lock Picking Lawyer’s videos! (I did not RTFA, sorry.)
When those super uptight guys crack, they break really bad.
It’s likely, but I think we only have Trump’s word on that so far. Maybe the warrant also has that “and that Russian ledger, with the blue cover, in the back of the safe…”?
Whatever it was, the FBI had to have good knowledge of its current whereabouts.
Whether he bought a cheap one? How is that even up for question? He bought a cheap one.
If so, they’re a doddle to breach.
We had a cheap fingerprint safe from Amazon, used only to store medications and knives to keep them away from a member of the household who was prone to self-harming.
The battery door fell off inside it, along with the batteries, and we’d managed to mislay the keys so it couldn’t be unlocked.
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but it still only took me a few minutes with an angle grinder to cut a hole in the door and detach the locking mechanism.
Amazon, to their massive credit, sent us a replacement. We’ve made a note of where the keys are for this one.
Also, reassuring.
Steve Bannon is still using it.
You might even be overestimating the difficulty. Was it the barrel keys? Lockpicking Lawyer opened an Amazon Basics with one of those as the backup. 3 seconds with an $18 tool.
Inside Trump’s safe, the FBI found…
burn!
Santore guessed that, whatever make he had, Trump’s safe would probably be expensive. Not everyone agrees. “Knowing Trump, I’m sure it’s a cheap, imported piece of junk, all glitzed out in imitation 23.5 carat fools gold to at least LOOK expensive,” Dave McOmie, a professional safecracker famous in the industry for handling difficult cases, wrote in an email. “Such safes almost fall open when stared at by a working pro.” (McOmie’s own C.V. includes prying open the vault where Prince kept his unreleased recordings following the pop artist’s death.)
