From one of the stories on this:

The woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition. She has since recovered and was released from the hospital, police said.

So that’s some good news, at least.

Detectives identified one of the suspects as Jasan Givens Sr, 38, who is known to drive a silver Chevrolet sedan with visible damage to the front passenger door and California license plate 5UAL384.

“We’re just trying to get this gentleman’s side of the story,” said Danielson. “We have the other side of the story. We want to make sure we have both sides.”

When the detective puts it that way, I can’t help but wonder what the most sympathetic version of this guy’s story could possibly be.

I interpret “A directory of mostly wonderful things” as to mean “most of the things we link to here are wonderful”, not “all of the things we link to here are to some degree wonderful”.

This article is consistent with the type of culturally applicable observations on modern society that include having surveillance of random acts of violence at major transportation hubs that I’ve seen at boingboing for what… two decades?
