… how would that help China, or Xi, though
Weaken your enemy. Internal strife is perfect for that.
Granted, this is (for now) little effort / long term stuff. Probing for soft spots. Trying out stuff. Developing tactics. Getting to know the adversary.
Ideally - for Xi - would be the USA being so busy with itself in a couple of years that they won’t even notice China taking over Taiwan.
I’d expect “internal strife” to be correllated with high voter turnout, not low voter turnout
If only the race was closer.
That’s sarcasm, right? Surely it is. My detector has blown a circuit, I’m not sure I can tell anymore.
“What does Nate Cohn have to say about Nate Cohn’s piece?”
“So he had some vibes, the polls didn’t agree with the vibes, so he wrote up the vibes anyway.”
I’m guessing he absolutely is, but he flat out denied that during their debate a couple of weeks ago…
Lying is a required course in Republican candidate school.
This shady Qanon wing nut is likely to be the new House representative from Vancouver, Wash.
Washington 3rd District : U.S. House : 2022 Polls | FiveThirtyEight
And this is the guy who primaried Jamie Herrera-Buetler, who was an otherwise perfect wingnut until January 2020, when she voted to impeach Trump.
WTF is wrong with Vancouver
I mean, they lie an awful lot, but they’re also terrible at it. They don’t even hang together. Heck, we routinely see them denying things they must know there are video clips for because the people asking just played video clips disproving the last six lies. It’s a kind of emperor’s new cover where anybody can see through it unless they are determined not to. If they went to a lying school, it must be one that gives automatic degrees for anyone who’s dad is wealthy.
It’s not a lie if you say it convincingly. And the truth changes on their needs.

And the group Stand Up Michigan, don’t get me started on those whack jobs.
