How about unleashes, or reveals? Not that I think you don’t know this, but he’s a black man in America, one who’s advanced in an arena (politics) where “angry” black men quickly get discredited and kicked out, for being “irrational,” “overly emotional,” etc.
I doubt Barack Obama ever has trouble finding his anger. And I have no doubt that he knows it’s something that he usually has to conceal, in order to appeal (to his largely white audience).
