The word “explicitly” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that tweet.
“Down the rabbit hole” or “follow the white rabbit” can be used for a plethora of conspiracies and wacky beliefs. It is a vague statement that any and all conspiracy nuts can apply to their conspiracy.
So of course Q-Anon is saying its about them. I am sure others are saying it’s about Hunter Biden’s lap top, or that Biden really stole the election, or that Fauci created Covid 19 with the help of China. etc etc etc.
I think that given his current focus on calling former twitter employees pedophiles, killing the advisory council that deals with child safety, asking twitter users to send him links to child abuse videos, and claiming that no one was concerned about child abuse on the platform before he arrived we can safely say that this his where is head is at these days and that he is likely referring to QANON in the tweet.
Why? God only knows (I mean obviously to disrupt meaning and the concept of truth), but he has been in a very QANON place for a long time
That’s true, he has parroted QANON talking points, but he has also parroted and promoted concern about other conspiracies like with the HB laptop, Dr. Fauci doing some sort of crime, and Biden rigging the election (I am sure there are others I am missing).
Which rabbit hole is he “explicitly” encouraging this time? One of them? All of them? It is up to the imagination of the reader which hole(s) to go down!
I think that what we are ignoring here is that there is no such thing as a rabbit hole. It’s a warren* of entangled tunnels that interconnect, loop around, and cross over each other. Hunter Biden’s laptop was at one point alleged to have child porn on it, Fauci is an Adrenochrome user, and the election was rigged to prevent the Storm from sweeping clean the gold paved streets of America.
Every right wing conspiracy these days is, to some degree, tied into QANON, so I don’t think it matters which hole you enter, you end up in a maze of twisty passages, all alike

I suspect he just enjoys the chaos and attention. He’s so insulated from the consequences and apparently lacking in even basic human qualities such as empathy that it’s all a game. And it also helps keep his underlings in line - look what I did to the last person to cross me - is one school of management.
We don’t need to make up reasons to not believe he is who he is saying he is. Just believe him. It’s much more likely.

Well, primarily, because excuses are regularly pushed for people like Musk and the danger he poses to our society right now. Recall how much people pushed excuses for Trump (and still do) that he’s not as bad or as much of a danger to our country as he seems… When people keep showing you who they are…
