Interestingly, Yan Zhu didn’t say that she didn’t also have way more energy.

MUM: Hmmm! Now this little capsule is your vitamin E, this one, your vitamin D, and of course this little beauty in a much smaller gell cap is your daily dose of snake oil.

JOHNNY: Oh thanks mum, will it get me through the whole day?

MUM: It should, but if you find yourself getting peckish at any point during the day, peel a clove of garlic and take with an 8 oz glass of kombucha.

JOHNNY: Oh cool, thanks mum. Where do you get these caps?

MUM: There is a little store in Noe called FlimFlam.

JOHNNY: Thanks mum, you’re the best.

I think that is a pretty big ‘tie-over’ ha ha ha. Maybe it’s just me, but coffee is an appetite suppressant. Esp. with a teaspoon of fat in it. Is that the ‘Bulletproof Coffee’ that people were talking about a while back? What is your experience with that, why do you do it? It’s my understanding that the oil make the caffeine more potent or bioavailable or something?

This is an interesting contrast. When I am in a creative frenzy, I don’t eat much and I have a ton of energy, sometimes for a few days. I know this is common enough, that many people experience the same phenomena when they are in the ‘flow’ of something. Perhaps they are trying to force this mania? Ot perhaps it ‘works’ for the people who are already working in this mode (and it’s therefore not caused by the fasting) and those such as Yan Zhu just experience misery.

Bah, that’s nothing. I fast 56 hours each week!

And that’s assuming I eat right before I go to sleep (which I usually don’t)!

It doesn’t have to be 56 continuous hours, right?

My cats have pants. Fur pants at least. It’s adorable if you imagine their furry little britches from behind. They also have coloring and shapes that lend to imaginary fur pants. … … Yeah sorry I live alone with my cats.

Underclub, an underwear subscription service.

Is it like Netflix DVDs? You get three at a time and send them back after a couple of days to get fresh ones?

Agreed. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you; I need more hours in my day. Is there a site where I can order some?

I get cranky too. Usually that’s when my husband knows it’s time to feed me. I saw a tshirt once I think I need that said, “I’m sorry for what I said when I was hungry.”

Awesome socks. Now I want a lot of socks, even though I have 12 pairs of moustache socks.
