we only have one president at a time, so i guess he’s technically correct here. and at least he seems to have passed the cognitive test: who’s president right now?
Not even. It’s just more delusion - far more people in the world hate him than those who don’t, and deep down, he knows it.
Personally, I don’t have ‘favorites’ out of all the POTUS’s, but if I did he’d be dead last, emphasis on the dead part.
the old thread is closed now so i couldnt post this follow up there but few weeks ago a couple people here were all “dont worry he has to give up his taxes NOW”, and i was like, “well that would be nice but thats not the pattern.”. seems he’s found a way to put it off till after the election (at LEAST): https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/appeals-court-temporarily-blocks-manhattan-da-getting-trump-s-tax-n1239010?cid=sm_npd_nn_fb_ma&fbclid=IwAR1GK3BGIz93_jOOtu7kORH5wanx8snh2QsKbV4EeUiShswuGm8yYYd15zM
Would have been great if they had also played along a while:
“Can you help me understand the Portland riots. Why haven’t you stopped the violence?”
“Well, we’re just a newspaper from Maine, but from what I understand, others tried to stop the police from showing up, but they kept being violent, so…”
Jay Sekulow, a lawyer for Trump, said his legal team is pleased with the order.
Another religious lawyer clan, except they don’t have “God Hates Fags” signs, and they’re in it for the money.
I’m sure there’s a worse golf metaphor but I’m struggling to think of one right now because I’m not a sociopath.
Just woke up, and am confused. Where is the coverage of the WI visit? I expected a circus, Yet none of the news places even seem to have a story on it.
He came, he saw, he said stupid shit, then he left.
Well, I was just hoping for a whole new pile of the stupid shit to work against him for the election. This was kind of egregious, going there, instigating. He probably said so many horrible things.
He lamented the property damage, pledged financial relief to business, said nothing about Jacob Blake, nothing about systemic racism, and falsely claimed he sent in the national guard to quell protests. That’s the gist of it. Taxpayer dollars at work.
im from Iowa. You’d be forgiven for not knowing (because it was ridiculously under reported) that there was a storm there the equivalent of a category 4 hurricane that destroyed a third of the state’s corn and ripped the roofs off thousands of houses, torn down countless trees and left a huge swath of teh state without power for over a week. Trump flew in like 7 days afterwards gave a speech at the airport and left without touring the damage and only giving in to a small percentage of the FEMA funds (funds he has power to sign over mind you, not his personal financial help or anything) the republican governor asked for to help the people of Iowa. Well, Trump didn’t have the time for the people hurt by that natural disaster but he had plenty of time to make a special trip to go stand by a building in Wisconsin that had been destroyed if it meant he could blame it on his political enemies.
Thanks for that rundown of perfidy. How do you think trump is doing among Iowa Republican voters? Are they as blindly for him as ever, or the scales falling from the eyes of many?
That one desperately needed a fabulous header image.
hard to say. the members of his cult aren’t giving up. Its really gonna come down to if the rest of us can actually get out the vote. people dont seem enthused about Biden but i know a few who are excited to vote against trump.
He keeps mentioning Ivanka and “first female president” in the same sentence. He can’t seriously be thinking that, can he?
