Explosion in Nashville, Tennessee

I guess, but to be honest, this isn’t an intricate thing. Anyone older than mid 30s to 40s in the US who followed the OKC bombing even a little bit got basically taught by the US media how to build these kind of bombs.

FBI has named a 63 year old white male as a “figure of interest” and are trying to find his mother to check DNA on tissue found at the scene, so…

Not going to say “crazy conspiracy theorist tRump supporter” but…

And made the unfortunate mistake of clicking on a link to a conservative blog about this, and the comments are all “Richard Jewell anyone?” and “ah, yes a older white male is being set up as a patsy by our letter agencies” sort of comments. I guess it’s easier than actually accepting that the people that you sympathize with may actually be the bad guys.

(edit: May have been a bit premature with the assumptions, other news channels are reporting more info. See follow up posts).

It would certainly be a turn of events if it turned out Swing abducted Warner and left him in the motor home to die.

I mean, deeding two properties to her? The recorded announcement in a woman’s voice?

I get the odd feeling this might turn out to be as crazy as the killing of Brian Wells.

The “Richard Jewell” references miss the point entirely. The actual bomber, Eric Rudolf also was a middle aged white guy as well.

He’d be the first vocal Trump supporter I’ve ever seen who wasn’t vocal, didn’t have a Trump flag, yard sign, bumpersticker, or anything. Apparently according to neighbors and coworkers he was definitely a loner but not a confrontational or angry one, and didn’t talk politics at all. Even though Nashville news stations have been caught trying to make this about 5g (even when the article actually denies what the headline says), this guy doesn’t seem to been outspoken. Apparently the song he had playing from the RV with the warning referenced how downtown was a great place. He probably wanted to die there.

Makes me wonder if he had a terminal illness and decided to bypass the unpleasantness of dying slowly.

Specifically, downtown is a place to go if you’re feeling lonely

When you’re alone and life is making you lonely / You can always go downtown / When you’ve got worries, all the noise and the hurry / Seems to help, I know, downtown

And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along
So maybe I’ll see you there
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares
