I’ve been watching the old “Black Jesus” show. I wonder how this pastor would react if Jesus really did come back and he took a dislike to this pastor?

Isn’t there an IRS hotline you can call to report churches engaging in politics?

And Lord, one of the prayers we offer up to You is the leaders that we have in Washington DC that refuse to listen to Your voice and do Your will. Father it is our request that You would uproot them, and that You would remove them, and You would replace them with men and women of Godliness and righteousness and justice.

I can’t say I disagree with that request, I just suspect Lahmeyer and I would strongly disagree on God’s interpretation of the words “Godliness”, “righteousness”, and “justice”.

Shouldn’t the Pastors For Trump website rather state “we are committed to pray to Donald J. Trump”?

But Trump is clearly the second coming of Christ. He performed the miracle of making a casino he owned fail.

Man, too many words salad. Just say you want Caligula The Second.

If the Church can’t shut their mouth over politic, they should have their tax exempt status stripped. They want to have the cake and eat it too. Hypocrite fucker.

Jesus was actually pretty clear about this shit. “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s,” which didn’t just mean pay your taxes, but that God doesn’t give a shit about Earthly politics and government. Which means this Goddamned asshole is taking the Lord’s name in vain. If God actually existed and decided to bring retribution to the blasphemers, I don’t think this guy’s odds of surviving would be very good.

Xtianist preachers have this tendency to see their Invisible Bearded Sky Man™ as an extortionist or a hitman.

I don’t suppose this grotesque monster claims tax exemption whilst interfering with politics does he? Time for the tax authorities to really crack down on ‘churches’ who decide to get involved with the political system.

The Pastors For Trump website states, “we are committed to pray for Donald J. Trump and present our requests before him on issues such as life, marriage, freedom of speech and personal responsibility.”

So they don’t want any of those issues. Under the concept of truth in advertising the group should be named GQP Patsies for Trump.

Yeah, well…

For decades, the IRS misplaced the power to even audit religious organizations. (Congress hid it.) They eventually got it back, but now they’re chicken to use it.

I’m pretty sure Jesus and Lahmeyer disagree on God’s interpretation of those words. It’s folks like this that have never really read the New Testament, especially the red words (yeah, it’s a Catholic thing). Because their actions do not align with the words that came out of the mouth of the guy they claim to follow.

It’s more of an ecumenical thing

I remember something similar at my CofE church back when I believed.

There is no way he would BELIEVE it was Jesus returned.

Learn something new everyday…I’ve only encountered it in the Bibles we used in the Catholic church…I mentioned it once to some Protestant friends when talking about religion, and they’d never heard of it.

Your will to be done here on Earth as it is in Heaven

… and forgive those that trespass against us?

(Oh, wait …)

I think he knows not what he prays for. All that “caring for orphans and widows,” “welcome the wayfarer,” “love your neighbor as yourself,” “Let him who is without sin.” Yeah, he would hate a world like that. I think he would be happier with more heat and sulfur.
