Nah, FTW is still my 2nd favorite city in TX.
I used to wonder the same thing about Fort Worth, my second-favorite city in Texas (see @Bobo ’s comment about Austin). Did the City of Ft. Worth receive some kind of compensation for the “Cops” ride-alongs? Is there a mentality in that part of the state that enjoys seeing the detainment of the impecunious? Both?
Also, I’m thinking this place is up there with Cass Technical HS in Detroit, DuSable in Chicago, or Jefferson in LA in terms of importance to The Music:
I.M Terrell High School was a secondary school located in Fort Worth, Texas. The school opened in 1882 as the city's first black school, during the era of formal racial segregation in the United States. Though the high school closed in 1973, the building reopened as an elementary school in 1998. After undergoing extensive remodeling and expansion, it is now the home of the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA. The school building lies within the Butler Place Historic District.
