FBI: U.S. law enforcement infiltrated by white supremacists

Ok- I’ll bite. Those musicians are members of the Allgemeine-SS. They are very scary and dangerous. If any of them are still around, they are likely war criminals in hiding.

“Call the Philadelphia Police 2nd Precinct and let them know employing a police officer with a white-supremacist, Nazi tattoo is unacceptable. Their number is 215-686-3020 and their Facebook is Philadelphia Police Department.”

That was me sarcastically channeling someone else’s stupid view*. In reality I agree that the best time to address a problem is before it becomes a problem (not that we’ve done so well with that over the past year).

[* hint: he’s now pleading for us to “go back to talking about the subject at hand” when his initial derail downplaying the problem started with a comment containing the words “I know these trivial details do not address the subject of the article”]

I’m always amazed by your ability to determine guilt or innocence based on the nothing more than superficial details.

Do you think that gives them a pass? Popular culture has long been a way of creating and strengthening communal ties. Popular music is a particularly effective means of doing so.

And yes, they are still a hate group. Fuck them.

And also…

I’ve just seen you pull this crap too many times, with too many blatant double-standards in defense of white supremacists in transparent efforts to inject some form of reasonable doubt, to believe you now, Max. You may not have said anything explicit in defense of skinheads, but, even in the course of this discussion, you started by essentially going, “Oh, that’s not actually a Nazi eagle, it’s a Weimar Republic eagle.” It’s a consistent pattern, on how you will thin-slice the details in regards to white supremacists, but happily and readily tar entire groups of non-whites, such as Black Lives Matter, as being people waiting for an excuse to riot.

But, sure, let’s go back to discussing the actual topic.

In essence, this Jew is going to view any white face in a blue police uniform as a Nazi as a default assumption until I manage to finish fleeing the country. Maybe that’s unfair to the individual cops, but I’ll take their hurt feelings as a price to pay for continuing to breath in an unmaimed body. And the sad thing is, I know that I’m privileged in that I have paler skin, and can pass as non-vermin to them at a first glance, especially as I don’t have the “Jew Nose”.

Agree completely. Skinhead music networks are recruiting tools.

Need a light non-sensical interlude in here about now.

I think it is about guns. They are worried (and I can’t say it is totally unfounded) that if we investigate and prosecute facist militias threatening violence against ethnic minorities and promising violent revolution and a white male dominated new order, then pretty soon we will start questioning other people who stockpile suspicious amounts of weapons.

Overton Window.

The Weathermen were never a part of the mainstream left (at the time Democrats were more social democratic in their views than now, but never more than that). The right wing militias and terrorists are close enough to the reactionaries who are now Republicans that they can fit in even if there are some differences (I refuse to call them conservative as conservatives are wary of progress, not completely phobic of it).

They are evidence of translocal connections between groups. They are more than recruiting tools, they are community building tools, that are not just top-down, cynical attempts to bring in fresh blood. They are ground up expressions of a strong belief in white supremacy, which acts from below as much as from above. Ian Stewart put himself forward to be the voice of the youth wing of the NF.

I’ve seen them in action and had people attempt to bring me into this network of beliefs. As I think white supremacy is, frankly, dumb and dangerous, it did not work.

Again. Fuck nazi punks.

On a related subject, the Oathkeepers and the III% Patriots stand ready to defend our Constitution. Mostly by infiltrating groups opposed to the Trumpistas but whatever.

There were dozens of organizations trying to penetrate these groups immediately following the election. Groups like Capital Research, various law enforcement agencies and Federal contractors were all involved. All were busted or turned away at some point, especially if they attempted to penetrate the larger anti-fascist organizations in Washington, DC, New York City and Philadelphia. Oath Keepers personnel to date have never been busted.

Remember- always suspect the guy who advocates doing stronger radical action. He’s likely a plant. But as this article shows, some plants are better at concealing themselves than others.

We were talking about this post and I was reading your comment to my wife. I started with, “some guy says they should…” and I burst out laughing when I noticed your screen name.

I said it was more of a NSDAP eagle, which is worse than a Reichsadler, in terms of Nazi affiliation. The legs are splayed like the Weimar eagle. I expect, as onshi pointed out, that he just could not bring himself to go full NSDAP, so he omitted the swastika, and had the legs splayed to make it look less like something is missing. I probably should have mentioned that the Weimar eagle never had the outspread wings. It is not a Weimar eagle.
If it matters, his defense when this was first brought up was that he was using the insignia of the German-American Police Association. I don’t see that at all. I think it is a modified NSDAP parteiadler.

I had thought so! As I understand it, white Christian ideologues (like David Duke, Tom Metzger, Richard Butler, &etc.) have always encouraged young “straight looking” racists to enlist in the military to gain weapons training, and after completing their service to become involved in law enforcement or (better yet) government. The SPLC has documented this at least a few times, as has the FBI.

@Max_Blancke, thanks for the info on the insignia! I doubt the guy regrets that tattoo, though - given his name, he probably passes it off as a German heritage thing when he is somewhere racism isn’t acceptable, and then when he’s with the other bigots he probably brags about how he openly wears it and nobody does anything. Lichterman also has some sort of maltese-ish cross (probably his idea of an Iron Cross) on his left elbow.

“Blood & Honour” is indeed a racist group originally started by Skrewdriver’s lead singer as part of the promotion of his racist music, but (as is typical of these groups) it has little coherent organization or philosophy other than racialist hatred, and according to the links you guys have been posting there are several non-music groups (such as the noisome and extremely violent VSC) that claim affiliation with B&H now that C18 has lost control.

We dont want to drive these nazis underground we want to replace them with people that clearly aren’t Nazis.

We got in this current mess by taking away the voice of the confused and afraid. Dont forget most racists are just scared, ill informed or isolated people. This kind of hated festers where it can remain unexposed to different ideas and people.

This song enters my head every time we go down the neo-nazi rabbit hole. I think it’s a sanity preserving defense mechanism.

There is only one party with the Reichsadler stylized like that, the NSDAP otherwise known as the Nazi Party.
