Why is every picture of him showing that stupid, mouth open, “I don’t know what to say” expression on his face? Does he ever get a photo as a normal person?

that is his normal expression?

A sad and “I’m fucked” Michael Cohen.

Its amazing how well story suppression and cover up works, when you’re breaking the law.

Federal prosecutors investigating Michael Cohen already have access to 300,000 pieces of evidence from the digital devices seized in April. They’re about to get access to more than a million of 'em, because Trump’s legal team vastly overstated how much would be legitimately ‘attorney-client privileged material.’

Does that clear things up?

One meeeeeelion files!

Holy crap, how does one have that many files on their phone. Even if this is counting contacts, calendar entries, chats, phone longs, it boggles my mind on how this can be so many. On my laptop I have 900k files in $HOME, but about 85% of that is mirrored source trees that I need for this or that reason (aaaaaand my large cache of various ROM files for emulation). How the ever living frick does Cohen have that many files?!

This was exactly what I was thinking. I deal with huge Freedom of Information Act requests so I’m used to the kind of volume that a large organization can generate, and this is just mindboggling. If Cohen had a thousand employees sending a few emails a day and never deleting any of them then he could get there in a year or so. But he’s a lone lawyer with three clients and one of them doesn’t even send emails. What the hell?

ETA: Wait a minute, I just figured it out. Porn.

Were Trump and Cohen dumb enough to think Cohen being an attorney would mean everything could be considered “privileged” and thus untouchable by law enforcement? (OK, don’t answer that.)

Brilliant! Surely the best Russian porn.

I imagine he likely had a whole drawer full of burner phones to throw off surveillance, as is standard practice for any totally legitimate legal counsel.

It sounds like he saves his old phones, so with data transfer there could be some duplication, and this could go back for decades.

That’s, what, about 335,000 files per client?

If I were Mrs. Cohen, I’d be trying to get a huge life insurance policy on him. And if I worked for an insurance company, I absolutely would NOT be returning her calls.

I still maintain that Saul would have never have been greedy enough (let alone stupid enough) to rep someone like 45; Slippin’ Jimmy was savvy enough to recognize a walking liability when he met one.

Nothing would warm my heart more than the sight of Michael Cohen managing a Cinnabon in Omaha.
