First thought: I wonder if the caffeine would do anything to the yeast.
Second thought: Imagine taking a sip of Mt. Dew and thinking “How could I make this much, much worse?”

I think with this recipe, assuming the yeast consumes all the fructose and sucrose, the addition of lactose may be necessary to bring the sweetness back up a little.
