Florida Man is upset he can't bring his large Donald Trump cutout to dialysis

Nelson Gibson told WPBF that his family c̶a̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶ won’t sit with him during his three-and-a-half-hour treatments, T̶o̶ ̶h̶e̶l̶p̶,̶ ̶ because he began bringing a picture of Trump as a comfort item.

Yeah, somebody pinch his tube already

Yeah, it’s definitely not cultish or anything!

I have this in my to-read pile:

This one I need to re-read, very interesting if you’re curious about the truly dark mystic cultish aspect of Trump and his handlers – by Blondie’s (original) bassist no less!

Agreed. I say let him bring it, but spray it with bleach.

Sooo, Emotional support OBs are a thing with the MAGA-crowd now?
I cant decide if thats creepy, sad or adorable in a pathetic way.
Its kinda like Jojo Rabbit, where Hitler is that kids imaginary friend.
Only that this fellow is a full grown man.
Okay, I go with creepy.

So… windmills cause cancer and Donald Trump causes kidney failure?

Seems legit.

Luckily for him, he can still bring his AR-15.

For rabid Trumpsters… it’s all a stretch. Awhile back on YT, I looked up the YT profile of one poster who declared anyone an idiot and an oblivious sleep-walker for not knowing about and believing that there were 20 million beings (some human) living in a colony on the far side of the Moon. Too outrageous to not be a put-on, I thought… until I checked his profile; along with subscribing to multiple hyper-right-wing YT channels, there were even more channels, with those dedicated to vomiting out seemingly every non-political kook conspiracy theory imaginable. That didn’t exactly give me a warm 'n fuzzy about bringing such people back into the light.

Dialysis. I’m surprised that FM believed in something that involved science.

I never thought I’d live long enough to see Trump, in any way, shape or form, described as a “comfort item.”

Sodium hypochlorite in insufficient doses can mediate cross-microbial antibiotic resistance.

Don’t ask how that cut-out spends it’s nights.

I hope they all start bringing bubble wrap now.

Ah, so he was testing the waters (which frankly was bad enough, but also easier to laugh off) and then switched to something that was getting into hazard territory…

Ever-escalating assholery.

His collection of giant MAGA political signs/flags/banners… probably not actually a joke.

Why can’t he just have a recording of Trump saying “You’re fired!” on loop and play it through earbuds?

Or have a tablet playing (through earbuds) The Best Of Trump Rallies or something similar?

Dude. You can get headphones and listen to endless loops of Dear Leader lying to you. You can even bring in a Trumpy Bear to cuddle. Just don’t take up floor space, there’s tubes and nurses everywhere.
Also my treatments are six + hours, this guy is a milquetoast. weird flex

Easy fix: Hire an actor to play the part of a dialysis patient who brings a large cutout of Obama, and sit them near this guy. He’ll flip out and they can kick him out. Problem solved!

I only had dialysis for ten weeks last year, three times a week, five or six hours per session. Nobody said it was temporary, though they did say I was getting chemotherapy to try to get my kidney working again.

Once I was aware of things, I was thinking this was forever. People are on dialysis for a long time, I guess some because they are waiting for a kidney donation.

And so one time at dialysis after they’d hooked me up, my mind strayed in the wrong direction, and I panicked. Breathing hard (when my lungs weren’t in great shape after pneumonia), sounding like a freight train, and I couldn’t stop. A scary situation. I don’t think tthey can just take you off the machine once hooked up,your blood is already in the machine getting washed.

It got better, later I could often sleep.

It is a tedious process that takes up a lot of time, and kind of vital.

Last week I read about a teenager in the same situation, a failed kidney due to the same rare disease. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, even though dialysis isn’t really intrusive, once you get used to it.

I wouldn’t take Trump a!ong, but maybe this guy really is in a bad mental state, and Trump makes him feel better. Not everything has to be political.

Let’s not forget that back n July Trump said “the kidney has a very special place in the heart”, as reported here.

Oh! You mean the paper depiction of Trump. Got it!

Trump would gladly eat his kidneys, as long as he had a chef to prepare them and he could have them well done with ketchup.
