If we learn that Turmp is clearly a traitor, and nothing happens to him, then the rule of law will be officially dead and we’ll be several steps further down the bad path.

If Trump is impeached and they vote to remove him as well, doesn’t that mean we just get Pence? His Taliban insurance policy is a good one… I don’t want that “winning” scenario. Or is it just presumed that Pence is certainly ejected too?
I don’t suppose Pence ever did anything interesting enough to get him in trouble, but if the whole campaign was tainted then that could be a reason / excuse for the GOP congress to pick someone else in the name of a “fresh start”, as they did with Gerald Ford.
Though, technically they’d need Turmp to cooperate and appoint a new VP before he went (Nixon had no choice because Agnew was removed first). I guess they could persuade Pence to resign in this scenario.
