It’s your job to do what the president wants

No it isn’t, Kilmeade you Nazi bootlicker. Military officers take an oath to support the Constitution and not the President. Scum like Flynn aside, most of them take it very seriously when asked to do something that might violate it.

Like a Stauffenberg type figure, yeah, I could get behind that…

“Not being fully cognizant of the third rail of German generals being Nazis.”

This guy can go right off and fuck himself.

If Trump and his Fox News bootlickers could read and therefore knew the history of how often German generals and other military officers tried to assassinate Hitler, they might not harbor this opinion.

Even if Harris gets elected, it’s not going to solve the problem of at least a third of the nation really, really, really wanting to live in a Nazi dystopia.

We’ll be facing real consequences from that fact in a couple of weeks, because the Know-Nothing 27% are neither gracious losers nor gracious winners.

Hey, if Trump tells you to commit serious crimes, you do it, right? Everyone else in his orbit does, apparently.

Perhaps he was trying to say something about “German generals” being a sensitive issue.

Multiple generals who worked closely with Trump: “Donald Trump is a fascist.”

"Donald Trump would regularly tell John Kelly how much he admired Hitler.”

Fox, desperately: “Obviously Donald Trump wasn’t aware that Hitler and his generals were Nazis.”

That’s not really true. Jimmy Carter left active duty in the Navy in 1953 when his father died and took over the family’s peanut farming business. And it was a business. And he ran that business at least until he ran for Georgia governor, and then divested himself of it when he ran for President, like you’re supposed to. But he absolutely ran his own business, and that was his primary profession for a number of years.

Trump isn’t even close to the first U.S. President to have a background in business. Heck, the previous Republican President had a background in business.

The thing that made Trump’s background unique isn’t the experience he brought to the White House but rather the lack of it. He is the only President in the history of the country who had zero prior experience in public service. No military service, no elected office, no appointed positions, no government employment, not so much as a PTA meeting under his belt.

But hey, he did play a successful business tycoon on the teevee!

Technically true, although W wasn’t much better at running a business than Trump was.

We will cross that bridge when it comes to that. For now, we can’t afford to let that third of the nation dictate literally how the rest of us can live or die. You can’t reason with them but at least you can prevent them from harming anyone beside themselves.
