previously 44% of twitterâs us fulltime employees were women, and 52% were white
while i generally like tom tomorrow, casual erasure and assumptions about who works in different areas of tech are problematic
i understand what humor is. them all being white men wasnât part of the joke, or if it was - he failed to sell it or provide a payoff for it in anyway

i donât think dan perkins was trying to convey anything about that aspect of the change in twitter staff because thereâs no such point in the cartoon. everything he put in it is all right there.
in my opinion, he was just being lazy, and not reflecting on his own selections. the default for him and his cartoons is the white male dude.
i think bending over backwards to defend what is a relatively commonplace bias of white male cartoonists is unnecessary. as a counter point, see randall monroe who handles this stuff with aplomb in the actual text and images of his cartoon on a regular basis.
there should be nothing contradictory with liking a piece of media, and being able to critique it.

You are probably right. I was thinking more about what the environment had to be like there now - where the only people left either agree with Elon or canât leave for visa or other reasons - it has to be a nightmare there. I was more defending my comment about âh1s and mostly menâ - not addressing your comment, for which I apologize

thanks, and yeah agreed. hopefully at least some of them can apply elsewhere and land safely, or make it till musk gets bored and appoints someone who knows how to run a company
