In English instead of Musk: “I’m an addict”

Side mod note: Any way to talk to nitter and be able to expand them? Box says 404 and it really isn’t.

Biological neural net? Unexamined prejudices and preconceptions. You made the decision based upon your feelings and want to justify it by making believe it was a reasoned analysis.

You and the other investors were just like the rubes that bought into Bankman-Fried’s bullshit. You put a huge amount of money into something you didn’t understand.

" and that if Twitter was not bought and steered in a good direction, it would be a danger to the future of civilization"

LOL - so humble of him to take on such a responsibility for the sake of all and our future

Did he learn that from or teach that to China?

joking aside; the tweet clearly points to his delusional fantasy being “the chosen one” of the coming apokalypse to “save” creation. jfc.

This is your regular reminder that Elon doesn’t understand any of the things he does. What he does is find something that reminds him of reading Omni magazine in the 1980s, and so far he’s had the good luck to be surrounded by people who are determined to run it properly despite the interfering moron with the money. And with them making him look like he knows what he’s doing, his stream-of-consciousness bullshit sounds like delphic wisdom to everyone except anyone who knows anything about the subject.

For more information, see the character study in Knives Out: Glass Onion.

Loading up the valuables of Africa, leaving the people behind, and taking off?

It’s the story of his life.

So, just as we heard about the “sad motel rooms” the people who would be expected to clean them were fired.

Is it legal to fire striking workers? That sounds like something the NLRB would be all over.

yeah, it seems like a nonsense way to say “i don’t know, i just did it” which is the exact opposite of reasoned decision making. a pseudo intellectual veneer on the “cop who goes with his gut.”

there’s definitely a strong undercurrent “instinct” beats “knowledge” in america, when in reality instinct arises out of knowledge.

He probably needs to get his neurolink installed immediately.

Has the legality of anything actually stopped him before? He put murder cars on the roads that drive themselves and has had numerous recalls. He’s going to start chipping people and killing them too in the next few years. Can he afford the fines, or to distract long enough to avoid paying them? If the answer to that is yes, then, it doesn’t matter what the legality looks like, he’s just going to do it.

Reading more about it, the company they work for, Flagship, had a contract which was expiring on this Friday. They claim they were locked out of the building this past Friday. It seems they began picketing over Twitter not just failing to bargain, but also not offering to re-hire them during the transition to a new contractor, as required by California law. For that little extra bit of Ebenezer Scrooge this is happening just before Christmas.

It seems a little weird to me that Twitter would give janitors badge access during weekends, but not impossible. If Flagship’s contract prohibited them from striking, then it would not be legal, but if they’re already locked out they can’t do the job, anyway. Twitter waited until sometime on Monday to terminate the contract, according to California Labor Federation.

Musk doesn’t understand advertising on his own platform.
