Another arbitrary change made without thinking things through. Twitter already showed the number of impressions to the account which posted a tweet. Now it’s going to be public-facing “just like video view count.”
People are also complaining about the change’s effect on the UI.

oh my gosh. i’m so glad they made that change. /s now i, and presumably tens of thousands of other users, can create new accounts and finally use twitter like it’s supposed to be used. it’s genius 
seriously. why are they even bothering with tiny things like this and the stock ticker? none of that changes twitter or makes it more useful. none of it’s going to make them more money either
maybe these are the very best of his ideas?

Elon Musk famously said that Tesla doesn’t do discounts. However, the automaker is calling this a price adjustment.
They must be desperate to make the 2022 numbers. The earnings call in January is going to be interesting.

After publication of this story, Twitter head of trust and safety Ella Irwin told Reuters in an email that “we have been fixing and revamping our prompts. They were just temporarily removed while we do that.”
Sure, sure. Just like blocking SMS from entire telecom companies wasn’t intentional.
The Guardian’s article was much the same as Reuters’, but noted that:
Just as Musk bought the company, the feature was expanded to show information related to natural disaster searches in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Those shifty meteorology and geology services might have been promoted without paying. Clearly, that’s “spam” or “ban evasion” or whatever combination of words doesn’t bring up Elon’s debt.

#ThereIsHelp was returned to availability, but I did see a comment that attempted to test the response to the word “suicide” and was unsuccessful. Oh, and Elon claimed “Twitter doesn’t prevent suicide.” (Internet Archive, because Jane Manchun Wong’s account is either gone or suspended now… so is wongmjane.com)
It was only a matter of time before Elon began “saving money” on data centers.
