Senator Warren says The Words. So grateful she at least remembers this:
â A Tesla shareholder has filed a lawsuit against the electric-vehicle maker over Elon Muskâs tweets on selling 10% of his stock and snubbing Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
The lawsuit was filed by investor David Wagner in the Delaware Court of Chancery on Thursday, according to Bloomberg Law.
His litigation, according to Bloombergâs report, called for an investigation into whether Musk continues to tweet carelessly in violation of a 2019 agreement, which requires any of his communication about Tesla over social media to be pre-approved by a securities lawyer.
It also expressed concern over the impact of his tweets on Teslaâs stock.
âIt is unclear who at Tesla, if anyone, is currently reviewing Muskâs tweetsâ after the companyâs last top general counsel departed in December and the most recent acting incumbent, Alan Prescott, left in April, the suit said.
Tesla doesnât currently have a legal counsel, who is likely the relevant person responsible for overseeing Muskâs tweets.â
Pity the fool who has to babysit cranky Elon. Or has to change his diaper.
A shame they canât come up with some disruptive technology to protect their employees.
Maybe some sort of safety protocols about spacing employees, a new tech that would allow employees immune systems to fight infection and some sort of space age filter device at a high enough capacity to prevent infection if worn by employees?
And send people home if theyâre sick or test positive in their daily COVID tests?
Nah - science fiction.
What? Sending them to Mars isnât good enough for you? /s
This shows you that there is no teeth with these state and county mask mandates.
I do know that our HR person in NV sent the CA office an email last week telling us that we have to mask up while in the office. (We have one person who is working at the office, the rest of us are wfh.) So I donât know why SpaceX gets a pass.
I think a smart lawyer should look at suing SpaceX for contributing to the spread of a potentially deadly virus in the community.
Only an effigy?
first he was forced to pay taxes, now this? Poor Elon. /s
From CNN:
â The large recall nearly equals Teslaâs total global deliveries last year, as just under 500,000 total cars were delivered in 2020, according to Teslaâs annual report.â
Finely crafted shitboxes.
Best mashed potatoes of the year?
That would be an awkward conversation.
Tesla: Weâre thinking of closing our Urumqi showroom because of concerns about human rights in Xinjiang.
Chinese government: Those are lies spread by western governments to keep China down. Now it is more important than ever for all companies to contribute to economic development in Xinjiang and the fight against terrorism.
Tesla: What are you saying?
Chinese government: If you pull of out Xinjiang things wonât go well for you in China.
And where in the headline is TESLA thinking of doing that? Tesla has shown over and over again that they care very little about human rights, given that they have consistently pushed out unions, forced workers to work during a fucking pandemic, and allowed racism and misogyny to flourish in the workplace. Elon Musk gives no fucks about other human beings and their rights. None. He has no interest in pulling out of a market just because there is some abuse happening. He doesnât care.
Tesla might care about reputational damage. If they decided to pull out of Xinjiang for whatever reason, the Chinese government would have ways to punish them, up to and including kicking them out of China entirely.
