Elon Musk will virtually join the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, an official from the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce said. The summit will be held on November 15th and 16th, and this is the first among the G20 leaders since Russia invaded Ukraine.
Arsjad Rasyid, head of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce, told CNBC Indonesia that Elon Musk was unable to attend due to incidents in the U.S. “He is unable to attend because … there are incidents in the United States and he must be present there,”

Does he mean something like “a way for [Company X] to figure out which other Twitter accounts are affiliated with [Company X]”? It seems like any organization that had its shit together would already know that kind of thing.
The utility of the original verification system was that it made it easy for users to tell who a Twitter account was associated with, and that is what Elon Musk shot to hell with all his idiotic new schemes over the last two weeks.

It does feel that way, doesn’t it?
The main reasons I don’t think Musk is actually doing this on purpose are
- No one has yet articulated a theory for how killing Twitter through apparent incompetence would actually benefit Musk
- I don’t think his ego would allow him to let the public think he was vastly stupider than he really is
