what if he’s just an incapable leader? and has really bad ideas?
That’s precisely the point.
If he was just an employee he’d be fired. If he was the boss’ nephew he’d be shunted in a position with an impressive job title but no influence on business operations whatsoever.
But he is the boss, owns a huge chunk of the company, and has the board stuffed with cronies.
So what do you do when you think there’s something worthwhile to be done, but in order to do it you must keep the chief idiot officer out of the loop?
