Iām not sure that an argument can be made that Jewish actors have been systematically underrepresented in the profession.

Yeah. Also, itās acting. Having a problem with someone taking on a role that they havenāt lived means objecting to the entire concept of theatre.

Jewish writers, composers, directors, and producers, not so much. Jewish actors? Thereās a reason so many changed their names to appear more WASP.

Iām fairly certain that some studios knew of (or even suggested) those changes, thereby providing a way in.
