Crosspost, but still obligs:
thatās terrifying and awful.
it also sounds like the jail is trying to blame just one guard, while basically the entire staff must have turned a blind eye for it to happen.
and then there was this. presumably because the women complained!?
After the Oct. 23 incident, jail officials punished the women by leaving the lights on for 72 straight hours, denying them normal privileges and confiscating pillows, blankets and hygiene items, according to the lawsuit.

Bubbles was a very good dog. She was well over 15 years old, but had been getting weak and tired, and stopped eating as her kidneys began to fail. She went peacefully with her humans holding her this afternoon.
Dogs give so much, ask so little and are gone far too soon.
Vale Bubbles.
Definitely a bad day for you. Iām so sorry for your loss.
RIP, Bubbles. Woof
She was a cutie. So sorry for your loss.
Iām so sorry. My heart goes out to you; I lost my fur baby earlier this year and I miss her every day.
Iām so sorry.
So sorry for your loss.
Oh, she asked for plenty. lol. She was a very needy little creature and knew Iād have done anything for her.
Sorry for your loss. You know, before Bubbles, I never understood how people got so attached to their pets- But that girl was honestly just about the most important thing in my life for the last decade and a half.
The sudden awful noise from the washing machine, and bits of foreign object in the tub. Hm. Iām a expert YouTube appliance repairer, so watch a couple to see how to get the agitator off. Easy, andā¦ Fuck, Iām going to need more videos. It looks fixable, but probably a pain in the ass.
And this is fifth-down on my current importance stack. Did not need this.
nichelle nichols passed away today. not everybody can live forever but maybe some people should anyway
loving this picture that george takei posted
Look at those lovely folks, being awesome-sauceā¦
Iāve had a flag set to remind me about this case on the 1st of every month since it happened. But I have not been able to find out anything about a resolution. Iāve tried the Monroe County, Indiana, government site, and general searches. Does anyone know how to search more efficiently?
I gave it a shot with key words but the case seems to have dropped off the radar of the local newspaper and not risen to the level of the courts that Google indexes. I found it on the Indiana courts site.
thanks for looking in on this. Itās pretty depressing that this keeps getting bumped back. Fscking ājusticeā system. Iāll reset my Bookmark for October 1 and see if things are still on track.
Too narrow for some people. And itās a paywall, but itās still crazy.
