Honey, bear with me. You can’t even do a simple search on Tumblr without seeing some convoluted drawing of all kinds of furry characters having sex. Shemale furry characters having gang bang scenes abound. And it’s not restricted to Tumblr.
It may be impractical to ACT on it in a fursuit but the Internet is flooded with yiffy.
So telling me that you don’t know where people get the idea that furries are sex crazed doesn’t mesh with all the furry porn being drawn.
Very true – and for a very very long time, that’s what furry fandom was: chatrooms, conventions, and art sites for people to share adult & g-rated drawings and stories. It’s only in the past 5-10 years that fursuits have become synonymous with furries. So while its true that most fursuiters aren’t doing anything in their suits naughtier than hugging, the association of furry = perv = fursuiter is there, and that’s understandable.
I mean, it is a Con, it’s not wrong to expect a little bacchanalia. And the hope beyond hope would indicate that someone with more organizational ability would arrange that elsewhere.
Oh, I didn’t say there wasn’t a private orgy room or two somewhere, but it sure as hell wasn’t on the programming schedule anywhere! Given the nature of the event, I’ll even go so far as to say that at least some of the participants are very likely to have been wearing something furry, but it’s far more likely to be just a few pieces of a full costume. (Or, as has already been mentioned, the head of a full suit.)
Of course the same sort of thing happens at GenCon, Comic-Con, and pretty much every small local convention you can name. There’s an amazing amount of overlap between the kink scene and fandom, but again, those private parties don’t get put on the schedules!
Mm. Not even at that high of a level, really. For ever convention I’ve been involved with, private room parties are outside of the control of the convention – the simply con can’t say what you can do in your own hotel room. (But of course if you’re doing something illegal, then you’re subject to the rules of the state. This is usually spelled out in the convention rules.) That said, people do advertise room parties that are not “officially” part of the convention … those tend to be gray areas. They may not be official, but because the hosts are putting up fliers or whatnot in public areas, the host members may be subject to sanction under certain conditions.
(Again, we’re still talking about something that happens at almost every convention!)
Oh Gods, what people think is going on? No, sorry, I can neither confirm nor deny the room lined with rubber and stocked with an array of special devices that … wait, no, sorry, I’ve said too much already. The rumors about people dressing up in prey and predator outfits and taking turns “hunting” one another down in the steam tunnels while sacrificing babies to Proctor and Gamble are also just unconfirmed rumors. Ignore those too, except for the ones that are confirmed.
What about that tentacle porn in anime or the other Rule 34 from Anime or Star trek slash fiction ranging from G to XXX and i once found Lord of the rings rule 34 without even looking one time. True story at a anime con i go to i saw a vendor selling rule 34 and having it under binders. So furry isn’t the only fandom that makes rule 34,and there are some in the fandom who won’t draw rule 34 at all. I know one artist in furry who has a TOS saying no porn.
I’m just pointing out that every fandom has a adult side,so it is really kinda hypocrital to single out furry when other fandoms have a adult side as well.
Pht, I was just at AX this year. Project H had a booth. All sitting on the table. They got like second row placing too. Fakku at least gated theirs in a closed box.
