Sorry if I go on a mini rant, but fuck that sad excuse for a country, they want to be switzerland, so low taxes, except nothing works, so the San Marinese are just a weight on the Italian health system, as they don’t actually contribute anything to it. Only worse one that comes to mind is the vatican state, but that’s because the horrible people per square meter ratio is much higher in the vatican

It’s interesting that a tech company with that much reach is going to be pushing much more environmentally friendly car racing

Carlisle signed two new players yesterday. Or maybe not that new, they only finished their loans at the team last month.

Both were good players last season, although Robinson didn’t get much game time because of Jack Armer’s form, and we already knew that McCalmont was interested in coming back for a second time. McCalmont has also been selected for the Northern Ireland U21 national team.

Morgan Feeney and Omari Patrick are expected to leave though.

Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibernian are looking at Feeney, and he would be crazy to choose Carlisle over them.

Patrick wanted to play in his preferred role as a winger, and Paul Simpson wasn’t planning on using wingers regularly. He would be a good player for any League Two team and a lot of League One teams. Carlisle need to find some defenders and forwards, or our stay in League One could be short.

Josh Dixon has joined Annan Athletic after leaving Carlisle, and Dan Hill has joined Carlisle City.

Josh Dixon looked promising but was unlikely to get into the first team at the moment, so this could be a good move for him. It worked well for Owen Moxon. I don’t know much about Dan Hill to be honest.

Things are looking bad for Reading, they haven’t been paying their taxes.

They are likely going to join Wigan in starting the season with minus points.

Morgan Feeney has gone. I guess the Scottish deals didn’t work out for him though.

Who could replace him in defence though?

Are we just re-signing all of last seasons loan players?

Dave Wilkes (Carlisle United’s Head of Academy coaching) funeral will be on 11th July.

She played League and Ozzie rules which are both fairly contact loving sports. Obviously a helmet doesn’t have anything to do with repeated shoulder charges of the kind that are routine in Australian and Irish football and which both need to look at urgently or more women and men will develop CTE.

Is it some kind of requirement to be an complete arsehole if you are the owner of a football club in The Fylde? Blackpool had convicted rapist Owen Oyston, AFC Fylde have the Brexiter David Haythornthwaite, and now the Fleetwood Town owner has been jailed for 13 years for fraud.

That’s worrying for Morecambe if they can’t get a squad together for this friendly. Carlisle played two different starting 11s for each half at Annan, for comparison.

And Grantham Town had the ultimate “fuck it” response to not having a squad.

Carlisle have signed two actually new players last week.
