They’ll soon be calling him MR BROKEIT.
Is there a way he can be removed for conflict of interest that doesn’t rely on waiting for Ryan and McConnell to get fed up with him (or worried about poll numbers?)
(if Obama made a recess appointment of Garland could a case be brought before SCOTUS during the year?)
Nope, and Ryan and McConnell are corrupt cowards whose only concern is their party retaining power as long as possible (well that and tax cuts and deregulatory policies for their wealthy core constituency).
You think Obama would ever do it though? He seems far too lawful and risk averse. Also if it’s foreign corruption, a plaintiff with standing’s going to be hard to find.
Apparently Tulsi Gabbard is meeting with Trump today?
(insert wild speculation about SoS here)
Might be offered UN Ambassador, I see?

Good string of tweets here:
Obviously, this is all over the news here. Hard to imagine it, though on some issues she is aligned with the hard right. (Her background is…odd.) She’s a rising Democratic star, this would probably screw up her future in the party.
The good news is that anyone appointed to replace her will be another Democrat.
This is the one that kills me:
The irregularities in exit polls, known attacks that actually did penetrate some of electoral systems, and other anomalies that were reported are major and deserve serious attention. The guy who accused others of every wrongdoing he was engaged in was saying the election would be “rigged.”
Any North Carolinians in the house?
Holy fuck.
When will Alt-Right be replaced by Nazis like it should be?
No surprise there. What were those idiots thinking was going to happen? He’s a thin-skinned, dim-witted, narcissistic, vindictive asshole. The only surprise is the idiot media execs who expected anything else. Maybe this will be enough to get them to start getting their crap together to finally cover the fascist properly, but probably not.
wow way to make friends and influence people there. i guess that pretty much guarantees unfavorable press coverage going forward.
So far, all of the post-election self-critique I’ve seen from the US media has been nothing more than an attempt to exempt themselves from all responsibility.
I suspect they’ll just be even more accommodating. Can’t let someone else get access to the OTR briefings.
presumably the ones that would be delighted to see him out of their country…
And then this shite:
Well, that and Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution
