Gentleman drives Lamborghini into a tree

Why do people feel the need to break traction in crowded areas? Especially something this powerful, where when the grip catches again you’re gonna get pinged off into a tree.

Because they fell apart and needed constant maintenance and no-one could be faffed anymore.

I saw a Ferrari Testarossa ( the '80s one, of course , not the “real one” ) that shook, rattled, smoked, and had a hard time putting the car in motion from a stop sign. I remember friends saying things like "I can get an older Ferrari/Porsche for the same price as that new Mustang/Camaro " . This is what happens
I live in a place with a lot of these cars, I enjoy seeing them, but I view them as a good way to separate rich people from their money. Can’t use their capabilities on the road, and if they track them, well, mostly not suitable for that either. My favourite spot of exotic cars on the street? Two, at once, Lotus Elites (the type 14, from 1957 ) going by on the road couple years ago. Live in Norwich, do I? Nope, Edmonton Alberta  As for Clarkson, pretty sure he was born into that head

I bet the driver/owner of that car would like a happier times photo collection to replace all the photos being taken at the end of that video.

:rofl::rofl::joy::joy:

Lamborghini Veblena? Bugatti Veblon?

It should be noted that most Veblenmobiles are not intended to be driven more than a few thousand kilometers per year, and can never hope to match the lifespan and reliability of, say, a Corolla. Most owners will have a more practical car as their daily driver.

Didn’t you watch the video? How is his jackassery not self-evident to you?

Yeah, because legal races are always held on full streets with parked cars and pedestrians everywhere.

That’s the same dumb logic as saying that you have to clean your dinner plate because there are starving children in Africa. That’s not how food or money works.

First rule when you start to lose traction: hit the brakes. Or wait, is it the other way around?

Nah man. That’s not right. At all.

It’s like saying, “You know, if you’d stop being a prig and lay off the prime rib for breakfast and share some of the cost, more people could have a decent breakfast, if at all.”

Following this argument to its logical conclusion, nobody should ever buy a Lambo and instead they should donate the money to charities that feed/clothe the homeless, etc. Lamborghini should go out of business and actually nobody should ever buy anything that goes beyond basic practical function, nor should any company ever make such things. We can all get jobs at factories that produce goods that meet bare-minimum practical standards. Also learn Russian and call e/o comrade all the time.

Not true. As others above have noted, they also make tractors on their assembly line (which – bonus! – can be re-tooled to produce tanks to use against the capitalist running dogs). As with all Stalinists, we BoingBoing commenters (down with the Trot splitter Cory!) love tractors and tanks.

You know, they even make a sedan.

Still risky. I’ve been (sorta) hit 3 times. Once, run off the road on my bicycle. Second, hit within a pedestrian crossing. Third time, in a parking lot (which broke my back).

Yikes.

I’m holding out for a tank.

Be preassured, road rage in my case will be nonexistent, because by the time I’ve got a firing solution, I’ll be over it.
