This is Patriot Prayer and the Proud Boys that we’re talking about. Not just someone who’s casually racist in conversation, not just run-of-the-mill GOP. Nobody marches with the Proud Boys by accident. It takes a series of deliberate steps to get into that position.
They’re a fascist militia, a thuggish extreme right minority within an already extreme right party. The Proud Boys have been regularly attacking people in the streets for a couple of years now.
All fascist militias are convinced that their opponents are the “nasty, foolish ones”. If you restrict your opposition to only those fascists who agree that fascism is bad, you will not be opposing anyone.
The GOP represent about a quarter of the country. Within the GOP, the street fascists represent a tiny minority of the worst of them.
I would suggest that attempting to restrict opposition to only that which does not offend the fragile self-image of fascists is a less than optimal strategy, and one that is extremely unlikely to be followed by the targets of fascist violence.
I’d also suggest that organising for the defence and solidarity of the non-fascist majority is likely to be a more productive focus than continually attempting to reach out to hypothetical soft fascists.

The ANTIFA hatred on the right is very real and very scary. They are convinced by their media masters that ANTIFA are a bunch of fascists. Seriously. If you don’t mind wading through some slime and listen to or read their ANTIFA propaganda, it’ll amaze you with irony.

On the basis of my experience with actual autistic people, people with autism don’t tend to use it as an excuse for being a pro-fascist shitweasel. “I’m autistic!” is a pretty common go-to used by run-of-the-mill edgelords and assholes when they get called on their bullshit, thinking it will garner sympathy and shame their accuser into silence.
Bonus points to this guy for trying to excuse his behavior by also blaming ADHD, though. That’s going the extra mile.
