Geologists on the impossible logistics of the 1,000-mile Great Wall of Trump

But according to the documentary he saw on TV late night, the Govt could build a 50 foot wall this big in 1997, surely they can do better by now…

Or build it on the US side of the cliff and thus cede the river to the Mexicans… No, wait, what am I saying?!

(Of course, then the wall would collapse the cliff and fill the canyon, so the second wall could stand on the rubble.)

And on the plus side, that contains Trump Tower.

~Imagines Trump standing in front of the wall utterly clueless on how he is going to get himself over the wall… After a few moments of thought Trump has a ‘eureka’ moment on ‘extreme vetting’.~

“I’ve got it!” Trump exclaims, “We will require all immigrants to speak in whole sentences and string those sentences into logical thoughts… That will be a disaster for ‘bad hombres’…”

Oh, sorry, well given that Flossaluzitarin was talking about Mongolia, I assumed the conversation was about the actual city of Harbin (in China near Mongolia). People in Asia go there in winter to see the ice sculptures…

I’m sure he was. I’m the confused one, which is my usual condition after reading Floss’ posts.

Unfortunately they weren’t able to do that until he had devastated Europe.

Why are we still talking about ladders.

Lets get medieval on this.

At my old uni, they decided that January was the best time to re-do the airconditioning in my building, as all of the undergrads were on holiday. Australia, summer.

What this meant was that all of the researchers spent two months working in a laboratory that was routinely at about 45°C. Our -80°C freezers started failing on a regular basis, and were pumping out huge amounts of heat when they were working. We managed to scrounge some portable AC units, but all of those went into the rat colony rooms (the critters would have died otherwise).

This was a rodent-based bioscience lab, where all sorts of biological fluids and tissues are routinely worked with. The stench was appalling.

Ice and Snow Festival through Feb. 15th is set for 32 degrees F. then, but cool off for a while yet. I can see how city heat might thaw a few sculptures at that.
No need to burn either the Harbin.org hot springs or the city entire down again. Gorsuch can have a scripted skiing event which POTUS can perceive as very warm and we’ll leave it there.

Worth it just to see the How It’s Made on the HOTZ or Oreck or whatever that has to vacuum the hall carpet in the Wall Hotel stretching between coasts. 4 times a day. Or maybe there’ll be a stretch pool? Don, check out the estuary on the roof!

Hmmm… there might be other benefits to phrasing things as conspiracy theories…

“Mexico Wall” really meant to contain U.S. Citizens once Operation Jade Helm is put into action! HAARP mind-control equipment will be installed under the cover of this massive construction! Trump is in on it - even during the election, it was being said that he might be under the control of the Democrats!

That’s silly. Trump’s a white guy, and he talks just like we do!

That’s just what they want you to think! Why do you think Trump hasn’t made any announcements yet about the alien technology they’ve been using against us? They’ve gotten to him - he’s one of them!!!

Ow, it hurts to try to think that way too long. I think I need to go lie down…

With today’s political and social climate i think a current remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers is due.
