I figure the next step for the Republican misinformation machine is to fabricate a truly outrageous story about Santos, get a mainstream media outlet to report on it as correct, than have it be debunked by the right wing media who can then say ad infinitum “See, left wing media is persecuting us, the lies they tell about us are vicious and hurtful!”
