Okay, here comes the massive internet outcry about how remaking this movie with kids is violating the original and raping their childhoods or whatever… no? Anyone? Oh, so it was just sexism all along. Got it.

For me the issue with the female-led one wasn’t the casting. I like all of the ladies involved and i’m a big fan of all of them, my issue was that i really didn’t care for how derivative the movie was. That said i never got up in arms about it when they made the movie, i just knew it wasn’t for me.
The vibe for this new movie does seem more up my alley. It’s too early to tell if there’s any substance to the movie but as far as first impressions go i like it.
Holy shit, this movie. I vaguely remember it, all that sticks in my mind was that kid version of me thought the movie was weird.
Please tell me that Kate McKinnon is in this movie.
