It might be better to use the baking soda and vinegar separately or alternating. At the same time, they’re mainly neutralizing each other.
Ooo! That’s a good price for 12 pounds of nutmeg.
(I realize that 5lb is a potentially useful quantity of baking soda, but the headline reminded me of this classic moment nonetheless)

I would have thought so too, but they did the job. Maybe something about the effervescence when combined, I dunno.
Another use, no matter where you buy it - reducing pesticides on produce!
(mix the baking soda with warm water, soak produce for 7 to 15 minutes, rinse.)
