Even though it’s bittersweet because a great actress like Claudia Black is not getting the acting jobs she deserves.

Featured today in the Guardian … It seems that, in part, accusations of “cultural appropriation” brought her to the attention of Riverdance, who invited her to join the cast. Now she’s on the Riverdance UK 25th anniversary tour. for which Ms. Bullock has paused her Master’s in Elementary Education.

Very well put; I found that nicely thought through.
A couple of decades ago I was roundly accused of cultural misappropriation by a First Nations friend, in a national broadcast but, thank goodness, not by name. Fortunately, he excused my friends and me to continue said misappropriation if we take him, or any other suitable representative of the group, to lunch before we start.

Cool! It also brings up an odd distinction I’m still trying to figure out. PA and NJ have multiple national historic landmarks under the National Park Service - some of which are natural areas (waterfalls, canals, battlefields, etc.). The Pinelands are a National Reserve. Of course, Philly has a separate list of National Historical Park sites. So, maybe this would be the first national park in the area without any historical significance…

I’m actually surprised to learn that the Delaware Water Gap ISN’T a national park yet!
I’ve spent a lot of time driving through it, coming and going, and it is massive (and gorgeous).
Oh no, will this mess up my usual commute between the Midwest and the East Coast!!!
