GOP Senate candidate says women have the right to make him a "home cooked dinner every night at six"

I’d say that ‘healthy’ fantasy is okay… and probably beneficial for one’s emotional life. Don’t we all fantasize early on about things we want and love, with that animating us to attain those things? First fantasization, then animation.

What an affront to Norman Rockwell’s legacy.

And how can you tell if he’s a parody or not these days?

This is another example of how it’s hard to tell what is real and what is fake in the Age of Trump.

If Michael Wolff’s book is accurate, Trump was running a fake campaign too.

A consulting firm… with no clients! Its website is full of grammatical and punctuation errors, and his bio there includes this:

Courtland left the military in 2011 to complete an ALB in Government from Harvard University and an MA from the University of London in Global Diplomacy.

Note “Harvard University,” not “Harvard Extension School.”

Define real.

As a current resident of Missouri…that’s probably accurate. In the big cities of Kansas City and St Louis, there are large numbers of liberals and progressives, as well as people of color, and police violence against those people of color. And the rural areas are Trump strongholds full of people who refuse to acknowledge that the South lost the Civil War. That’s a broad stroke and overly generalized, but I do think Missouri is representative of the country as a whole.

I don’t think this guy is an Andy Kaufmann:

“The late Andy Kaufman, who was considered one of the most innovative, eccentric and enigmatic performers of his time. A master at manipulating audiences, Kaufman could generate belly laughs, stony silence, tears or brawls. Whether inviting the audience out for milk and cookies or challenging women to inter-gender wrestling matches, he specialized in creating performances so real that even his close friends were never sure where the truth lay.”

Wow, such a prime example of ambition outstripping skill, taste, and common sense in general.

I think the era of “vanity political campaigns” may have arrived.

All I could think of while watching his video was this:

Look at his stance, his choice of clothing and even his facial features… they mimic Putin. Along with his comments he is a few screws short of what his cranium requires.

I want a pony that shits money. Can I be a Senator if I just demand that from people? Please? Either way… Senator or someone gives me the pony. I’m fine with both.

Ambition can sure do that, although I have run across a couple of people who appeared to be similarly outstripped of all that and ambition.
