"Grab them by the pussy!" Trump was caught on hot mic boasting about what he did to women

Apparently its a little more complicated. As of the song’s release. Dutchie was short for dutch oven and did indeed refer to a cooking pot in Jamaca. But its apparently a cover of a song explicitly about smoking pot, where in koutchie was used. A term that’s apparently a name for a drug pipe.

Weirdly it rounded itself back around to a drug based meaning. The American term “dutchie” is unrelated. Short for Dutchmasters a popular brand of machine rolled cigars used for rolling blunts.

I didn’t spell out all of the complications, but I’m well aware of them. That’s why I mentioned a marijuana pipe in my post.

While a koutchie and a dutchie are not the same thing, is the term really unrelated? Wikipedia claims the druggie meaning of “dutchie” was inspired by the song, which certainly seems logical.

I’ve already seen threats of this in other comment sections. The kind of thing you’d expect to see on Breitbart or Stormfront, but on more mainstream sites. “Redcaps” are the new Brownshirts.

Which is going to be confusing the next time you have someone handle your luggage at the Amtrak station.

Military leaders have already hinted at their intent to disobey improper orders from a President Trump. He doesn’t enjoy anywhere near the traditional conservative support from that quarter.

I can’t be sure. But I don’t think so. Dutchie in that context is supposedly short for “Dutch oven”. Kouchie would on the face of it seem to be unrelated.

The american “dutchie” is short of the cigar brand dutch masters, and its largely used to refer to the cigars themselves. And sometimes “blunt wraps” of various brands. You seldom hear it used to refer to the actual resulting pot cigarette, or the pot itself. So far as I’m aware the American term cropped up on its own, and was a separate thing until people noticed an already familiar term in what was meant to be a sanitized song. And the usages aren’t the same. You don’t smoke a dutchie or pass a dutchie. You buy a dutchie to roll a bunt. Then smoke/pass that blunt. In the American context “smoking a dutchie” would be smoking the cigar itself, no drugs necessarily involved. In the original song you smoke and pass a koutchie, and that was later subbed for dutchie.

So they don’t seem too related except for by coincidence.

Would you guys kindly pause your discussion for a minute and kindly pass the damn thing? Puff, puff, pass.

Bogarts.

Michael Hayden, hardly a paragon of virtue or liberalism:

Those polls you reference include callow newly enlisted and doddering old veterans. I suspect a good portion of active duty officers would object to flagrantly illegal and immoral orders from upstairs.

When the potential Commander in Chief is on record as stating that violating international law and committing war crimes is his first priority, I’d be a bit concerned if I was an active duty officer, too.

I didn’t say they were.

For M.Y.'s album, the lyric had to be changed from kutchie or kouchie to dutchie in order to get any radio airplay.

Active duty only:

Hayden is a proven incompetent and known torturer with a record of lying to the public. I don’t give much credit to his opinion.

I have frequently heard about the honour and professionalism of the US officer corps, and how this provides a safeguard against military abuses. I don’t think that the historical record of the US military, either recent or distant, supports that conclusion. This is the army of Custer and Calley, which just spent the last decade kicking down doors in residential neighbourhoods and dragging folks off to be tortured or disappeared.

I don’t think that the US military is itching to overthrow the legislature. But I wouldn’t count on them intervening if Trumpy decided to, either.

Since you very arguably posted the better song, you should probably re-post it somewhere where it won’t get eaten…

I once told an active duty Trump (and GOP) supporter that the republican controlled legislature controls the military budget and shrunk the military under Obama and his mind was completely blown. It’s a small anecdote, but the military treats the GOP much like many union members treat the DNC.

Why would it get eaten?

I didn’t flag anything, did you?

You made a joke, I responded… and then it turned weird and oddly terse, but whatever.

I can disagree and even get annoyed with someone else without needing to call the dragon.

It’s not even that serious.

I provide the following rebuttal.

But “Keating” was a man, not a place.

They were named after a person, not a place, so they don’t count.

Beaten to it.

O/T, but on the scale of “fast food options” the double down doesn’t come off looking so uniquely bad: 540 calories, 32g of fat, and 1400 mg of sodium, compared to 560/33/1000 for a big mac or 680/37/900 for a whopper. I’ve never eaten one, myself, though.
