Oops! Hey @beschizza, can you fix my headline error, please?
Is this legal???!!?!
Pretty sure the guy in the bunk is not going to have happy fun times in a collision…
America’s “high weirdness” seems to be rapidly morphing into “low shittiness”.
Heh, that title actually appealed to me a lot more.
I lost brain cells watching that clip. Ouch.

To be fair, that’s gotta be the best setup for getting thrown clear from a collision.
Weird, I saw this like 3 days ago. This happens frequently- a lot of stuff I watch on youtube becomes an article in a few days or a week. Happens frequently enough that I notice now.
All Gas No Brakes is what Hunter Thompson would create if he were in his early 20s and on youtube now.
The guy’s actually really bright, he’s aware of how people perceive him and he goes with it.

No argument there.
So nice to see you back again @Papasan, your lightheartedness was missed by many
Mucho gracias mi amigo!
Are you liking that btw? I came very close to ordering a little while ago, and I think it’s in my wish list now. I have to imagine it’s solid? Erik “groks it” as far as I’m concerned.
Thank you crazy white guy with two turntables, a camera and a microphone for dipping your feet into the shallow end so the rest of us don’t have to.
Get your shots up to date.
It’s an interesting “trilogy,” so to speak - the McKennas (drugs), Robert Anton Wilson (esoterica), and Philip K. Dick (visionary experiences). It seems denser than it actually is, if that makes sense - e.g., sentences like “Indeed, as with so many countercultural intellectuals, including Terence McKenna and Robert Anton Wilson, Dick’s visionary and often heretical religiosity can only be understood against the background malaise of postwar existentialism” sort of slip down the gullet, and then a couple of beats later you wonder what you just swallowed. I’ve only got a bit more to go, so I’ll see if Davis sticks the landing. Lots of interesting references in the notes for further reading, as well.
At 20:00 or so, he details that he has HPPD (hallucinogen-persisting perception disorder) from all the shrooms he had done.
