Cosby apparently went blind from keratoconus right as he was about to stand trial. Never mind that keratoconus doesn’t cause total blindness, and is usually as bad as it’s going to get by age 30 or so.

The image in my mind is the last minute or so in The Usual Suspects, where Verbal Kint stops walking with a limp and turns into Keyser Söze. Weinstein’s cane is probably tossed aside as he leaves court and gets into his limo.
