I disagree with the implication that somehow the current movies are bad. I for one love them. Over the top sure. So what. The whole concept is over the top. That’s its point.

I agree. I loved the movies. They were ridiculous good fun, especially when they went 3d (although I only ever watched them in 2d, I appreciate the gratuitous 3d shots).

Not sure if it’s gonna be good, but I know that the leads being non-white will rustle quite a few jimmies - and for that, the show is a winner in my book
