I’m only just getting to this post. @Carla_Sinclair frames this so well.
Stefanik does own it personally before pivoting. That demeanor will be good for her long term and it makes it harder to accuse her of spin. But then the gymnastics: 1) Just as a reminder to those of you in the press, it’s the voters who elected this straw man in a non rigged election. 2) Just as a reminder to our donors, it’s the GOP who put up this straw man to flip the house. 3) Oh, the straw man is on fire? Yeah, the voters are gonna have to form a bucket brigade.
I would not want to have him confused him with the brilliant Jerry Mander.
