- While cutting the avocado in half, failure to keep your fingers out of the way of the blade as it slides through and rotates around the pit.

- Trying to pull the pit from the blade, your fingers slip off of the slippery pit and across the blade.
- Using a sharp blade to slice the meat inside the rind, you press just a tiny bit too hard and the knife tip cuts through the rind and into your fingers.
Four extremely simple mistakes that would hurt a lot. I have never cut myself while cutting up an avocado. But it’s really not hard to imagine ways for it to happen.
