Sadly, it’s not full weed season yet for most of these.

(Also, can confirm that mullein is better than Charmin.)

It was a piece of agitprop/parody that was made during the Measure 9 campaign in Oregon back in the 90s. I found a copy recently and scanned it. There was a LOT of agitprop done back then. Many stories from those days. Maybe one day I will tell them.

In Scouts we were given thorough instruction on how to recognize poison ivy.

Leaves of three, leave it be?

This is a stinging nettle though. Common in Ireland. Will leave you a nice weal, temporary thankfully.

There an invasive species in North America as well. When I was younger, out hiking by a creek near me, I brushed my arm against one and instantly regretted it. Fortunately for me, the sting only lasted a couple of minutes.

I fell into a nettle bed in jeans, no less, as a kid.
I took my pants off,
But my puppies eat them unless i restrain them.

Nettle soup is good.

So long as you grasp the nettle and wipe decisively and firmly, you’ll be fine.

Uranus : earliest definite sighting in 1690 by John Flamsteed.
“Properly” discovered by William Herschel on 13 March 1781.
And Herschel thought it was a comet for two years.

I realize that. We have nettles too (quite good in soup). I was pointing out another plant that’s inappropriate for impromptu TP. Use of poison ivy, in fact, would probably require medical treatment.

Ah, I see. I couldnt follow my own logic.
