Hahhahaah!
No, it was a pole used to attach a beach volleyball net. I think the other pole was missing, so nobody could play futevolei there.

So cool. thanks!
…and now I have that song stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Your planet also have space elevators.
Congratulations. Parabéns!
Thanks Heavens I don’t listen to Bossa Nova for years.
I wasn’t complaining…
(Switching mentally to Jobim’s Wave now, though.)
Wow, I listen to it every day! Gotta escape the holiday music and thoughts of winter weather somehow.
I’ve been listening to Bossa Nova covers of popular songs by “Señor Coconuts”
They have a whole album that covers Kraftwerk
Daft Punk
oh. hells. yeah!
thanks for that! I will be adding Senor Coconuts to my playlist rotation!
Somos los robots…
Very good!
He used to be (amongst other aliases) Atom Heart and did a lot of electronic stuff
With some interesting people.
At one point he ended up in Chile and morphed into Señor Coconut.
El Baile Alemán was released with Kraftwerk’s official blessing (although they insisted on removing his version of “Radioactivity” for whatever reasons).
Neat car!
These charming little cars were once ubiquitous. These days they are becoming collector’s items. That miniature car was seen at an event that brought together air-cooled car owners some years ago The vast majority were Volkswagen Beetles, Kombis and Brasilias. But there were also many “handcrafted” cars that used Volkswagen engines…
I think the last factory that made the old schools bugs was in Mexico in 2008 or so? Every now and again, you come across a Bug from the early 2000s that was made in Mexico for sale up here in the states.
There are not many left on the road here in the US, sadly. Wonderful little cars.
Remembering being able to see the ground when looking down in the driver’s seat thanks to the rust damage in the undercarriage…there’s a reason they’re not around anymore, at least up north where they have to get through the winters!
Same complaint about rusted out heater boxes that no longer worked…
